The Garden
The large, safe garden is entered into through the woodshed. Well stocked borders and a central flower bed are one of the features of this tranquil and peaceful garden. The two patios are ideal for barbeques or just sitting and enjoying the magnificent views across and down the Fuchsia Valley to the sea at Lee Bay. Spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed.
We are visited by a large number of birds -blackbirds, sparrows, greenfinches, gold finches, bluetits, great tits, long tailed tits, dunnocks, wrens, jackdaws, doves etc. It is fascinating to watch the incredible aerobatics of the bats during the late summer evenings. We have nesting swallows in the wood shed which are a delight to watch and listen to with their twittering calls between May - July. Buzzards fly daily overhead majestically gliding and soaring on the thermal currents with their unmistakeable ’mewing’ call. Badgers & foxes are often heard but rarely seen.
Children enjoy the large expanses of lawn for their games - croquet, football, cricket, badminton, or just a general romp!
